Serbia: The risk of isolation

"The events in Belgrade late on Thursday February 21st were a case in point. Some 200,000 people followed a government call to rally in the Serbian capital, to protest against the independence of Kosovo. This was peaceful and dignified. But what the world saw was rioting by a few and the torching of the American embassy. One person died in the blaze. The British, Canadian, Croatian, Bosnian, German and Turkish embassies were also attacked. The rioters also turned looters, attacking banks and shops such as Nike and Benetton (...)"

Is Kosovo truly independent? Or it is just wishful thinking?
